Among the many ways to enjoy the beauty of Arcadia Valley is hiking.  There are a large assortment of hiking trails and nature scenes to enjoy.  Explore the beauty of Arcadia Valley.

Elephant Rocks State Park

This awe inspiring rock formation was slowly created by nature starting 1.5 billion years ago.  Magma being forced to the earth's surface cooled over millions of years and eventually became the medium to coarse reddish-pink granite.  The rocks have been weathered over time but range in size from small to extremely large.

The park gets it's name from a string of large granite boulders which look like a train of pink circus elephants.

Come here with the many other visitors that explore the area annually for picnicking, rock climbing trail exploration and history.  The area was also used for an actual granite mine in years past.

taum sauk State Park

Experience Missouri from a new height!  The tallest natural place in the entire state is here at Taum Sauk State Park.  This mountain towers over Missouri at 1,772 feet.

Come hike the trails and enjoy the beauty of the nature that surrounds the park.  The park covers 7,500 acres and besides breathtaking views and amazing trails, it also provides twelve basic camp sites and a special use area for non-profit youth organizations.  Last but not least, take a break from the hiking and enjoy a meal at the park's picnic area.
